MIAMI — An Anesthesiologist working at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach was arrested and booked on three criminal charges on Friday including battery with prejudice, a felony hate crime.

Police say Dr. Jennifer Susan Wright attacked a Hispanic man at a Publix supermarket in Hialeah on January 20, vandalizing his car while yelling racial slurs and promising to “get rid of every single one of you.”

Police say the 58-year-old woman flew into a rage after the man asked her to follow social distancing rules while she stood in line. According to an arrest report, she began “mumbling bad words” and ignored the man’s request for her to maintain her distance. He ignored her and proceeded to leave the store.

In the parking lot, Wright approached the Hispanic man as he loaded his groceries and told him “We should have gotten rid of you when we could.” and “This is my America.”

Then, the report alleges, Wright began keying his car, punching him, and stomping on his cell phone before fleeing in a Jeep Wrangler.

Wright was arrested early Friday morning at her home in Miami Springs, which had a mannequin dressed up as Joe Biden holding a sign that read “Expose the Biden crime family” on Halloween.

Her yard included a display complete with the Chinese flag and spread-out chairs made to represent President Biden’s social distancing guidelines. She has shared numerous Pro-Trump memes online, including an image that read “It’s Okay To Be White.”

Wright was charged with criminal mischief, tampering with a victim, and felony battery with prejudice. She posted a $1000 bond and has a hearing scheduled for Monday. Her court records had no defense lawyer listed.
